Zero Theorem
Blending alternative hard rock with the rhythmic and uncompromising intensity of metal, Los Angeles-based Zero Theorem has drawn early comparisons to Disturbed, Five Finger Death Punch, and Tool. Their first single “Area” has steadily climbed the Active Rock radio charts since late 2017.

Zero Theorem initially developed as a cross-country collaboration between cousins Caesar (based in Chicago) and Joe Scarlotti (Los Angeles), who began writing songs by sending digital files to one another. As their creative partnership developed, Caesar relocated to LA to further his musical ambitions. They recorded the initial ZT demos in 2017. Then, through word of mouth and networking in the Los Angeles music scene, the band came together with guitarist Max Georgiev, bassist Eloy Palacios, and drummer Jake Hayden.

The demos were honed into finished songs with producer Kane Churko (Papa Roach, Five Finger Death Punch, In This Moment). Caesar says “Kane is immeasurably talented and has made us better songwriters by helping to emphasize our strengths and explore new territory.”

The band has gained notoriety quickly as a live act by performing with Doyle, Hed PE, Art Of Dying, and Motograter, among others.

Zero Theorem’s sound, says Caesar “is groove metal with big melodies and some progressive material mixed in. Heavy music itself is a lifestyle choice, and we strive to embody that with both substance and wit.”

Zero Theorem’s debut EP, Ataraxis will be released on May 4th, 2018 through Tunecore on Shim Sham, LLC.

The Small Town Titans are a power trio from York, PA who love to constantly create, as well as play live. Gone is the notion that a rock band should only release 10 songs at a time every 2 years. In a world where music fans crave new content constantly, the Small Town Titans aim to deliver their brand of art all of the time, drawing inspiration from a new wave of rock bands such as Highly Suspect and Royal Blood, and rock legends such as the Foo Fighters, Audioslave, and Deep Purple. Thanks to their efforts at assembling their own studio in a basement, STT can create and release songs, podcasts, live online concerts, and more with no rules. This artistic change in attitude stems from touring for the better part of 2 years, and realizing how difficult it really is.

After coming home from their last 30 day run, the band had made $4,000. After repairing their vehicle, restocking their merchandise and more, the band was left with $1,000. After putting most of that back into the band’s funds as usual, each member took home $150. This startling reality made STT take a step back and evaluate themselves as a band, a brand, and a business. After firing their manager, the boys soldiered on with the help of their team at Round 2 Records. They began to truly treat Small Town Titans as a legitimate small business more than ever before. Unnecessary expenses were cut, and more creative and innovative sources of new revenue were explored, such as utilizing the direct to fan creation platform Patreon, where the band is currently making $200 every time they release a new song on YouTube.

Instead of trying to make a million fans, STT is focusing on the fans they already have. With a love for playing live, a Small Town Titans show has evolved into more than a concert. It’s an event, with a set list that’s decided right before the show, and plenty of stage banter in between songs. The band simply hits the stage to deliver an energy driven show using guitars, drums, and their voices. Nothing more, nothing less. This approach to their live performances has led to them sharing the stage with acts such as Highly Suspect, Papa Roach, Black Stone Cherry, Pop Evil, and more.

By focusing on their engagement on social media and managing themselves, Small Town Titans are growing like never before and having more success as a business and a brand. The band just wrapped up a weekend long recording session at Hybrid Studios with friend Kevin Soffera, drummer for Seether on the 5x platinum selling record “Disclaimer II”, and who STT also recorded their last album “Reflection” with. Six brand new songs were recorded live in the studio, as well as professionally filmed by Springwood Productions at the same time. These new songs and videos will be released throughout the rest of 2017 and 2018. Songs range from the hard hitting “Me, Myself, and Monster” and “Wreck” to the ballad “Dragonfly”, an emotional song written in memory of Phil’s mother, who passed away earlier this year due to cancer, performed live with just one voice and an acoustic guitar.

Small Town Titans are actively forming a team of like minded individuals in the new music business who are just as driven and passionate as they are, rather than waiting to be discovered. As the band continues to grow their fan base online this year, they will also hit the road, this time with a smarter game plan, a stronger fan base, and a passionate team behind them. Strange Daze
Strange Daze
Picture being in a band and playing a cover of one of 3 Doors Down's hits to a sweaty and packed club of rowdy rock fans. Now picture being in that same band, but being in the studio eye-to-eye with 3 Door Down's guitarist producing an album of your original music. For Minneapolis, MN's modern rock band Strange Daze that fairy tale has come true—only it took a a little bit of time. On November 12th, Strange Daze releases, Shine Through (Rock Ridge Music), an anthemic album of modern rock forged in fiery emotional urgency.

Strange Daze has gigged extensively throughout Minnesota and the Midwest, averaging 100-plus shows a year. Coming up, the quartet did heavy lifting through covering a broad array of modern pop— everything from Prince to Tom Petty to 3 Doors Down to Pearl Jam—electrifying club goers with top-notch versions of their favorite tunes while slowly integrating original music. This savvy approach helped Strange Daze win over a devoted and diverse fan base, and it also boldly tested Strange Daze's songwriting prowess by placing the band's originals side-by-side with pop classics.

It's been a trial-by-fire that's yielded impressive results. Strange Daze sold out of its first two CDs, exceeding 10,000 in sales with no label support or formal distribution outlet. This show of support afforded the band the opportunity to concentrate on its own powerful and well-crafted songs. The band is now enjoying accolades and acclaim based on its distinct musicality. The quartet reached #9 on CMJ's Top 200, beating out superstar artists like No Doubt and OutKast. Additionally, Strange Daze has charted on 30-plus stations. The band has been played on more than 250 stations in nationwide.

Strange Daze is Eric Moudry (guitars/vocals/primary songwriter), Scott Knudson (vocals/co-lyricist), Chad Armstrong (bass/vocals), and Mike Berg (drums). The band's fateful career moment came when engineer/producer Brian Johnson—who helmed the sessions for the band's first two albums—passed along a CD to 38 Special keyboardist Bobby Capps. Impressed, Capps shared it with 3 Doors Down guitarist Chris Henderson, his partner in Nashville, TN-based Rivergate Studios. Capps immediately signed on to produce Strange Daze with Henderson's and Johnson's help.

The resulting record, Shine Through, is a powerful blend of soaring modern rock radio hooks with moving life story sincerity. "We want to touch people and connect with them," Moudry says. "Our songs are about real life—our ups and downs—we lay it all out there to share with our fans."

The standout "Beautiful" mixes sweet introspection with a transcendently uplifting chorus. Its message of unconditional love has made it a popular wedding song. Here, with vulnerable authority, vocalist Scott Knudson sings goose bump-inducing lines like: You make every day worthwhile/You're the air that keeps me breathing/ And I will stand by you...forever/Cuz' you're my everything.

The brawny "Satellite Soul" combines burly blues-rock riffs with lush, oceanic textures, building up colossal dynamics until climaxing into guitar solo bliss. "That song is about following your dreams, reaching for the sky," Moudry reveals. The breathtaking ballad "Home" exudes a centered poise with stately strings and glistening clean guitars. "Scott and I wrote that about finding peace within yourself after going through intense depression," Moudry explains.

The album has a crisp and punchy production aesthetic, highlighting the group's expansive dynamic range. "The biggest thing I loved about the producers is that they gave their opinion, but they never forced their hand on who we are. They just made our music come alive," Moudry says. Kirk Kelsey, best known for co-producing/engineering landmark albums for Creed and 3 Doors Down, stokes the album's burning potency with his richly dimensional mix engineering.

"It's been surreal," Moudry says, surveying the band's history. "We started out as a couple of high school buddies who grew up in a town of 2,600 people. I never dreamed we'd be in this position. We're so thankful to get a chance to spread our wings."
